Hi there! As you will probably already be aware, from my countless mentions in my January posts, tonight I am flying out Melbourne, Australia with one of my best friends from my Auckland school days. So while I am away I have lined up a few guest bloggers to share so awesome new things with you, with the occasional check in from me on my Social Media (see right sidebar). Today’s post is brought to you by Rebecca from Becca Jane Lee! Say hello and leave her some love in the comments below! P.S that food looks delicious! Sarah-Elizabeth xoxo
Yes I know, Little Bird sells amazing vegan food. But I’ll let you in on a secret – they’re not actually the only ones!
Here are three of my other favourites, in to particular order.
Vegan american hot dog for breakfast? How can this ever be wrong?!
Vinyl is a a local cafe on Mt Eden Road with great deco, including an exposed interior brick wall, friendly & knowledgable staff and a great menu with many vegan options. I always get the vegan hot dogs but there’s more wholesome options including scrambled tofu, toms on toast (replace the haloumi for avo) and I’m 99% sure you can order the porridge vegan, too.
Meat and cheese probably aren’t the first two ingredients you think of when you hear the word “vegan”.
Il Buco is a world-famous-in-New Zealand small pizza shop on Ponsonby Road. The food is always delicious and, like most places I love, the staff rule. The boss, Jonny, is also super friendly and actually taught me the difference between latte and flat white! Thank you, sir.
On top of being knowledgable in coffee – Il Buco make the BEST vegan pizza. I’m not always a fan of fake meat but my favourite is the “meaty cheese-y” which is topped with “sausage” and vegan cheese. A few other great vegan options are the shredded potato, the mushroom or the spinach and olives. Basically all of them.
Seriously, I challenge you to eat a vegan pizza from Il Buco then laugh at my life choices.
Al’s Deli is famous for their home-made authentic bagels and great Auckland Central (top end of Queen Street) location.
They recently celebrated their first birthday and with the help of great food, good vibes and friendly staff the joint is steadily gaining a loyal customer base.
Not too long ago Al gave the menu a make over and thank the heavens because they now boast (along with other vegan options) a VEGAN bagel.
