One of the things I don’t talk very often about on here (apart from my religion) is my hair! I know you may be thinking that’s a weird thing for me to not talk about, considering I am part beauty blogger. However I am not the hugest of experts on hair and only know about the things that work well for my hair. So back a few months ago I saw a post on Lily Pebbles blog about the evolution of her curly hair, and I thought to myself “Why not share about your hair experiences?”
As you can see from the collage above I have had many style and colour evolutions to my hair and I wanted to go through them for you. I’ve never done anything outrageously “un-natural” looking with my hair before, I’ve never strayed away from natural looking colours, probably more out of requirement rather than the lack of wanting to. I’ve always dreamed f having aqua streaks in my hair after watching Aquamarine, or making a wish to the tooth fairy to be able to dye my hair dark brown like Lisa from The Saddle Club (the original Lisa, that is.) My hair has gone from blonde when I was a little kid, to my natural brown colour, golden-brown, auburn, chocolate brown, blonde highlights, ombre, a random red streak in my fringe, that awkward blonde-orange-blonde look from back DIY dye job, and back to dark brown.
I have had all sorts of hair cuts, but have never been able to grow my hair longer than my chest. I’ve had all sorts of fringes, to the side, straight across, my current curly mess, that weird fringe I cut myself a few times and was really short and blunt. Look, I even had the emo fringe at one point! I have had my hair length at many different lengths, shaved, long, bobbed, layered and even a bit of an afro after I had my hair completely shaved off in 2012 as a fundraiser for CanTeen.
At the moment my hair is dark brown, and still an undecided, wavy, kind curly thing going on. I am considering going lighter soon. I actually just won a Schwarzkopf Blonde kit which I am going to use to redo my ombre.
Now that I have shared about my hair, I challenge you to share about your hair! I’m sure many of you have gone through more style and colour changes than me, or you may not have gone through many at all. Either way I want to hear your stories!
