Now I bet you weren’t expecting this, but sometimes I like to do childish things such as lick the bowl when I’m baking, watching Disney movies and building the occasional blanket fort. While I was in my little cocoon of warmness and comfort I had some time to myself to think about how life is going, catch up on some reading I should have done ages ago and Spend some time with my dog Bonnie.
I don’t know if you have ever built a blanket fort (though in hoping you have), but when you are under the protection of the blankets it’s like being in a whole other world. This made it the perfect sort of reading nook to start on a book that has been on my to read list for a very long time, The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. I’ve never been in the right state of mind to read this but while in the fort I was finally able to concentrate enough to delve into the world of hobbits, drawers, Wizards, orcs, and dragons. I don’t know why it helped but maybe the feeling of being under the blankets made me feel like I was a part of their world.
