It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I’ve been reading the books over and over since I was 8 years old and I watch the movies (marathon style) yearly. So, of course, I was super excited when I heard the news that J.K.Rowling would be publishing the script for her play The Cursed Child. In celebration of its release date TODAY, I wanted to do do this Harry Potter tag and share a bit more about my obsession with this amazing series. These are the confessions of a Potterhead.
J.K. ROWLING’S FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM
SCREENPLAY TO BE PUBLISHED 19th November 2016 | hardback | $44.99
Here I was thinking that the only new Happy Potter universe material I would be reading from J.K Rowling this year would be the script of her play “The Cursed Child” and her writings on Pottermore. Yet she has wowed me again with news today of the release of the screenplay for the movie Fantastic Beasts and where to find them (19th November 2016).
Exciting news for Harry Potter fans!
Yes you read the title of this post correctly. There is in fact a new Harry Potter book coming out this year. Isn’t that what we have all been dreaming of and waiting for?! It’s been 8 years this July since “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows”, the last book in the Harry Potter series, was released. Waking up this morning to see the news of this new book being released made me want to get out my books and reread them for the 20th time. Well when I say book it’s not quite going to be quite like the previous 7 books and here’s why.

Back in 2007 I was pretty distant from the world outside New Zealand and wasn’t connected at all with Social Media or what was going on with all the famous people. I could probably name about 5 celebrities and they were either dead or Michael Jackson. Now, however, with being super connected to social media and being older I could name about 20 celebrities who I think are pretty awesome. Just a few of my favourites are Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Tori Kelly, and James Corden. However, today I want to talk to you about 3 of my all time favourite celebrities who inspire me.
The Bookworm motto: “Just one more chapter!”
If you have happened to know me when I was younger or even are friends with me currently, you will know that I have always been a major bookworm. I have always loved reading books and I used to read a few young adult novels in a week.
My dream is to have a library room in my house.
As a bit of a Disney’s Beauty and the Beast fan I can help but lust over Belle’s library. One day I will have a whole room just dedicated to all my books. It will be my safe, happy place. (Gosh that sounds nice!) In my house we currently have about 6 bookshelves full of books!!! We used to have even more but have downsized since moving.
I attempted to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in one day.
As you know I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I was one of those people who pre-ordered the last book. I really wanted to challenge myself to read the book in one day, just like I had seen hundreds of other young bookworms like me do on the news. Unfortunately I was staying at my Aunty’s house at the time and I was “forced to go to bed. But first thing in the morning I started reading it again and didn’t do anything else until I finished it!
