You may, or may not remember that earlier this year in April I went to the Cleo Premiere of Divergent with my friend (also called) Sarah which we called the Sarah’s Night Out! Well we just loved spending the time together and watching the movie last time that we thought we would go for a second take on our Sarah’s Night out. (This time we had a bit more success with those motorcycles!)
Last week Sarah invited me out to watch “Love, Rosie” and hang out before she goes home for the end of year break and Christmas Holidays. (I will be doing a bit of a review on both the movie and book of “Love, Rosie” (Where Rainbows End) just as soon as I have finished reading the book.) I can let you know know though is was a very moving film for me as I felt like I could relate a lot to it, and I don’t doubt that a lot of teenagers and young adults could too!Image courtesy of Starbucks New Zealand Facebook Page
The day before we met up I saw on Starbucks New Zealand Facebook page that they had brought back their Christmasy drinks which I had never tried before. So of course I suggested that we meet there and try them out!
As both Sarah and I love chocolate and peppermint, as well as Gingerbread we decided to each get a different drink and share to see which one we liked best. (Isn’t this funny.. I feel like I am writing in third person but I swear I’m not just talking about myself!) The poor girl at the counter (she must have been new) was really confused to have two Sarah’s in a row, which I had thought of in advance. I was more worried about them giving us the wrong drinks, not that it mattered really, so I told her my name was Sara (leaving off the H). In hindsight I could have just said Sarah-Elizabeth! Duh!! I got carried away myself with the two Sarah’s thing, obviously.
In the end I ended up choosing the Peppermint Mocha Latte and Sarah got the Gingerbread Frappucino. As we were both testing them out going from a hot drink to a cold drink wasn’t probably the smartest idea but they were both so good! I reckon that the Peppermint Mocha would have been better cold (which you can get!) but both of our favourite was the Gingerbread Frappucino because it all tasted like gingerbread!!! Real Christmas feelings!
Anyway we had a heap of fun watching “Love, Rosie” and I definitely found it quite a relate-able movie. Afterwards we went into the arcade and had fun racing each other on the motorbikes as we finally knew how to use them! Then we took a ton of photos in the photobooth before heading off to have dinner at Velvet Burger. (Yay for the mini Velvet Lady!!)
It is so good to spend these moments with good friends as these are the sorts of experiences that you remember! I can;t wait to have another Sarah’s Night Out when Sarah comes back for university next year! How did you spend your weekend and what did you get up to when you caught up with your girl friend(s) last?
