Hello Autumn!! Nice to see you are waking up a bit!! Oh how I have missed the browns and oranges of your splendid month….. *cough* getting over that little sentimentality….
Hey everyone!! How’s life going?
The past couple of months have been a bit of a learning curve for me; going to Australia, getting back to work, starting youth group and making moves in my Cruelty Free Beauty movement.
As you will have seen on my instagram I bought myself a few new products to add to my slowly growing cruelty free makeup collection. Today also marks the end of #BeCrueltyFree week in New Zealand and I can’t believe I missed this! So read on for my #BeCrueltyFree post and also don’t forget to check out last weeks post on My Cruelty Free Journey.
I just want to say right now I’m not going to get myself completely cruelty-free in my beauty regime by the end of Autumn but I will do my utmost to succeed in doing so by the end of the year. I am still not on an income where I can afford to chuck out makeup that is still new, in good condition but not cruelty free. This means that my current goal is only to replace my current makeup as it runs out with new cruelty free items.
So onto my current Cruelty free products.
Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisturiser (Parent company L’Oreal not cruelty-free)
Glamourflage Halo Helen Facial Cleanser $17.95 for 100ml
Lush Tea Tree Water $11.50 for 100g spray
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santa Fe $59 AUD + $4 AUD for pump (Mercer Australia)
Unfortunately I found out a couple of weeks ago that although NARS themselves are cruelty-free, their parent company Shiesido is not. (Obviously I didn’t get my research right there…) I’ll still keep using is, heck I paid quite a bit of money for it!! Next time I will do my research more carefully. However I’m still going to keep using this until I run out.
Bossy Stippling brush
Bossy Eye and nose brushes (3 pack)
Australis Velourlips in LUN-DUN , NY-CEE and PA-REE
Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint (Limited Edition)
Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub $11.50 for 25g
Lush Ultrablast Tooth Tabs $3.90 for 40 tablets
Lush Vanillary Solid Perfume $12.50 for 50g. This is my all time favourite scent from Lush.
Contour and Highlight –
Australis AC on Tour palette, $16.75 AUD (Big W Australia) I love this palette as it has a selection of shades to suit most skin tones in both highlighting and contouring.
Lush First Snow Powder (Limited Edition)
So Susan Highlighter
e.l.f Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Sleek MakeUP eyeshadow palettes in Original, Sunset, Garden of Eden, Rio Rio, Vintage Romance and Au Natural.
Glamourflage Sadie Body Scrub $29.95 for 250ml
Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter $19.90 for 50g. I have been using this for quite a few months now and still have tons left.
*All prices are in NZD unless otherwise stated
Beauty items that I still need to purchase cruelty-free:
Shampoo and Conditioner
I still haven’t decided yet whether I want to keep on supporting cruelty-free companies whose parent companies are not cruelty-free. However I will be writing up my cruelty-free stamen over the next week and sharing it with you guys!
What cruelty-free products do you already have in your makeup collection?
