Well hey there!! I think it is about time I started back up with my monthly roundup posts for you guys! I’m bringing back …in Retrospect with the aim to make it a bit more detailed and give you a better insight to my monthly life. Make sure you let me know in the comments what you think of the new format!!
March has flown by pretty quickly, and I think that tends to happen when life starts to get monotonous again. It’s hard to believe that we are now in April and it is already time for Easter!! Guys, scary revelation but we are already a quarter through 2015!
Well to kick things off within a matter of 2 weeks I was offered a job promotion, pay rise and a full-time contract at my current work! *little happy dance* My family and I have been praying that his would come about soon as in taking this year of from my studies I really needed the security of a full-time job. I have already been working full time hours on a casual basis, but this is just a great relief of my shoulders. Can’t wait to get that first paycheck as a full-time working girl.
I changed up my hair!!! Got my hair chopped of to just above my shoulders and coloured to a dark brown for winter. My hair was getting completely wrecked from being up in a bun everyday for work. Now I can just have it tied back in a short wee pony tail! Plus I am trying to get rid of all the orangey red from when I had my last hair disaster!
I have also been continuing on as a youth leader at my church and I can’t tell you how much I missed getting to chat to my youth girls over the summer holidays. We really have such great times together, building on our relationships with God and each other. Plus eating yummy food is also a great way to bond!
I thought I would include this section for those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram. These photos above were just a few of my most loved photos posted in March. New makeup looks I am trying out, Beauty Buys, places I am travelling to and through as well as other little insights into my life! Instagram is really the best way to keep up with my daily life and probably the place where I post most often.
I was so excited for March coming and signalling the beginning of Autumn. Day 1 and I was already packing away half of my summer wardrobe and bringing out all my warm knits, scarves and throws for the colder months here. One of my favourites, clothing wise has definitely been my Blue ombre knit from AW14 Collection at Jeanswest.
Beauty wise, this month I have really been loving my Australis AC on Tour Kit, Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santa Fe and my Australis Velourlips in NY-CEE. I use the AC Kit and foundation daily and they are now staples in my makeup kit.
March has also been my month of MARVEL. I found a Marvel Cinematic Viewing Guide for all the Marvel Movies and TV Shows and I have slowly been working my way through it. Currently I am in the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and along side it I am watching Agent Carter as is comes out weekly on TVNZ on Demand in New Zealand.
I also went to see Insurgent late last month with my awesome friend Sarah (you’ll have met her on our Sarah Dates). The movie was soooo good!! I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat for half the movie. Those dreamscapes make it really hard to know what is real and what isn’t!
A Disney Collab – The Undefined Princess Makeup Tutorial One of the ladies on #brunchclub started a link up for a Disney themed blog link up. I chose to do a makeup tutorial of an undefined Disney Princess look.
Why Everyone Should Do a Photoshoot I was approached by a friend from university to be a model for an afternoon for her, and I said yes! Check out some of my favourite photos from the shoot and see why I think everyone should do a photoshoot! *hint* it builds confidence!
The Beginning of a Cruelty-free Journey Everyone in the beauty world is becoming more aware of Animal testing and using cruelty-free products. Find out why I have chosen to go cruelty-free and what you too can do, by following me on my journey.
What did you get up to in March? Anything interesting happen in your life?
