*I have bought all these products with my own money and every opinion is as always my own. All of these products are for the Limited Edition LUSH Christmas Collection 2014. This means that I can’t guarantee you will be able to purchase all these products online or in store due to different availability. All prices are in NZD as stated in the LUSH Christmas Times 2014.
The 2014 Christmas Collection from LUSH Cosmetics
Okay so yes I may have gone a bit overboard on these grouped LUSH Hauls, but I was so excited for my first LUSH Christmas!! I was so excited that I was the first customer in store on the day they released this collection and spent an hour just wandering around the store in awe, smelling and trying new things! I have been back to make a few more purchases since to slowly try everything! I’ve only tried a few of these so far but I will tell you a little bit about each one that I purchased! 🙂 I haven’t yet completed my LUSH Christmas Collection 2014, but I hope to “collect” a few more products before the end of the holiday period. I really want to try out the So White and Hot Toddy Shower Gels, as well as the Santa Lip Scrub and Tint.
Quick note: In the product blurbs below I will say things like “you could use this for x amount of baths”. This is if you cut up the bath bombs, melt, bubbles ect. into pieces to give you more uses per item!
You can buy Cinders for $6.50 and at only 90g (and being one of the smaller LUSH bath bombs) it isn’t as cost effective as some of the other Christmas Products on offer. However, if you are like me your nose will be drawn in by the warming cinnamon scent which reminds me of sitting by the fire at my old house in Winter. It has vegan popping candy on top to give it a bit of fizzle just like a crackling fire! I’ve already had a bath with this one and I am definitely considering going back to buy another!
The Father Christmas bath bomb will only set you back$7.90 for a 200g bath bomb. Seriously though this thing is huge and you could use it for at least 4 baths!! I gave it to y brother and he used it the very same day so I didn’t get much of a chance to look at it or even take a photo. Father Chistmas smells like a bath bomb version of Snow Fairy Shower Gel and will turn your bath water from red to green!
Northern Lights is alike a colourful fireworks display in your bath! (No it don’ts splatter water up at you.) With a calming ylang-ylang and jasmine scent this is a great one for night time bath. It will only cost you $6.50 for a 150g “stick”. I have split mine in half to be able to use it again for another bath.
Sparkler Ballistic is very similar to Northern lights in both shape and how it disolves into your bath like fireworks. However this one is scented by Rose Jam (also found in Shower Gel, Bubbleroon, perfume and bath bomb.) For only $6.50 for a 150g stick you will be able to get multiple uses out of this one too!
The Melting Snowman is a luxury bath melt with a warming, spicy, ginger, clove and cocoa butter scent. I haven’t tried this yet as I purchased this for a friend. However I am seriously considering going back to buy it. At $6.50 for this 60 g bath melt you can definitely get 2 or 3 uses from it to make it worth the buy. Plus, the chocolate buttons are real!! (Just don’t eat them, okay?!)
I still haven’t used my Snow Angel Bath Melt, which I bought for $9.50 at 100g, and you can probably tell why from the photo above. It is seriously the most beautiful product I have come across in the LUSH Christmas Collection 2014. I love the gold sparkles and I just can’t wait to try it out on Christmas day! It is rich in hydrating cocoa butter and has a bit of a marzipan and floral scent.
Star Light Star Bright will cost you $7.90 and it has to be my second favourite product fro the LUSH Christmas Collection 2014. The silver sparkles transfer quite easily when held so try to to handle it too much before using. It has some of my favourite scents of lime and ginger, which give off a light and shimmering atmosphere. Crush it under running water and watch you bath turn a deep turquoise blue with silvery sparkles. Seriously makes for a magical bath!
Unfortunately when I bought Miss Holly Golighty in store, she had arrived rather worse for wear. However she still smell flippin’ fabulous!! This bubble bar seems to contain the epitome of what I feel Christmas smells like. At $11.90 for a 200g bar you will definitely get quite a few uses out of this spicy fragrant bubble bar. Smells very similar to the Hot Toddy Shower Gel and wont fail to get you into the Christmas Spirit.
According to the LUSH Times, THIS is the bubble bar that you want to use on guess what….Christmas Eve!! I’ve had a good smell of it with the ylang ylang scent (which I am still trying to figure out if I like) and it definitely feels like a night products. Make sure to crumble a piece under running water and I even suggest pairing it with Northern Lights Bath Bomb. You can purchase it at $7.50 for a 100g bar.
This wee cutie of a bubble bar has a soothing cocoa butter, lavender and ylang-ylang scent. According to the Lushie instore is also great for people with sensitive skin. This is a gift I bought for someone else, and I don’t particularly enjoy the scent as much as some other products. it almost melts in you fingers as you pick it up! Only $7.90 for a 100 g bubble bar that you can use for up to 4 baths!
The Magic wand is a reusable bubble bar which will give your bath some sweet Snow Fairy scented bubbles!! Just wave the wand around under a running tap until you have as many bubble as you please. Then, leave to dry and use again some other day! Only $11.50 for this 100g reusable bubble wand which I think will be a hit with anyone who has a little girl!
I purchased 100g of the Reindeer Rock soap at $7.50 per 100g as a Birthday/Christmas gift for one of my friends and I am so jealous. This is one gift that I am most definitely going to have to go back into to store to buy for myself! We both fell in love with the fusion of berry and bergamot that you can smell in this soap! Plus the wee reindeer carved in the top are just beautiful!
Another Christmas soap , and my absolute favourite of all time, Yog Nog will only set you back $7.90 per 100g. You sense will be overloaded in an amazing way with the scents of spices, fudge, ylang-ylang, cocoa powder and soya yoghurt. At 100% palm oil free you’ll be wanting to pull out a comfy Christmas Knit Sweater, even in the New Zealand Summer Heat!
First Snow is a shimmery dusting powder that you can apply all over your body and get yourself into the Christmas spirit. With the delightful, citrusy champagne scent it is like having delicate snowflakes swept across your skin. Perfect for the special Christmas parties and when used in conjunction with the Snow Fairy Massage Bar. I like to use a small amount on my arms, decolletage, and occasionally as a highlighter for my makeup. At $12.50 for 30 g some might see it as unnecessary but it just lifts my spirits when I use it. This sold out super fast in store and I was very lucky to get it, but so glad I did. Your best bet in getting this now is to look for a Christmas gift pack that has this powder in it!
I have already bought about 5 of the Christmas Knot Wraps which I put into little gift bags at my bloggers meetup last weekend. I kept for myself the beautiful Holly and Ivy which you can see in the background of the very first photo. These are awesome to wrap up Christmas gifts in and I love that they are reusable!
Snow Fairy is a deliciously, sweet, candy floss smelling shower gel which comes in bottles sized 100 g ($12.90), 250 g ($22.90) and 500 g (32.90). At first, when smelling it in store I wasn’t sure I dubious that I would actually like Snow Fairy, but as I kept smelling it I just fell in love with scent and slight glitter shimmer. So of course I couldn’t help but buy it!! (Unfortunately for me) My younger brothers seem to love it as much as I do (proof in the scent on them after they have had a shower), so I guess I will have to buy them a bottle each for Christmas too! Snow Fairy is one of the best-selling Christmas products so make sure you go buy it soon!
The Snow Fairy Sparkle bar leaves you skin shimmering, sweet smelling and soft. I like to rub this over my arms, legs and decolletage and then sprinkle some First SNow dusting powder for extra shimmer on top! (And yes I have joked to say I look like a “Twilight” version of a vampire as thse two products paired leave me very sparkly!) It will cost you $9.90 and I defintiely suggest buying a massage bar tin for this wee one as it could get a bit messy. But the good out weighs the bad as the organic shea, murmuru and cupuacu butter will leave you skin velvet smooth!
Well that’s me done and dusted for the moment.
Have you bought anything from the LUSH Christmas Collection 2014 yet? What is your favourite item so far?
Mine would have to be the Yog Nog soap and the Snow Angel and Star Light Star Bright Melts!!
Also, is this your first LUSH Christmas like me or are you a LUSH Christmas veteran?
