Hands up who has finished their Christmas shopping?
I for one have not, as I have no idea what to get for my two younger brothers and for my two best friends. Crazy how sometimes it’s the people you know best who can be the hardest to buy for! Anyway thanks to my lovely reader Stephanie, I decided to put together a last-minute gift idea guide for a budget of $25 and under.
Bring some Joy to their World
Okay terrible pun aside, but Lush has to be at the top of my list as a go to for beautiful looking gifts that will give the recipient some pampering me time. They have a great mix of bath, shower and body products in their under $25 gift section that are well worth checking out! I bought the Joy To the World gift for myself as I really wanted some yog nog soap and to try out the Love and Light Hand cream (which is an exclusive Oxford St, UK, product!) At $17.50 for the 100g of soap and 45g hand cream this little gift is great for that friend who doesn’t have a bath but loves their skin products! Plus Yog Nog soap is just the best IMO!
Spread a mug of good cheer
Nearly everyone loves a good mug to put the hot drinks in. So what better way to serve the inner geekiness than by drinking hot cocoa on Christmas out of your Darth Vader mug. Mighty Ape has a huge range of fandom mugs such as R2D2, a Tardis Telephone sign from Doctor Who, or even a Superman mug! Just add in a small tin of hot chocolate and some marshmallows (or coffee, or tea) and they are ready to chill out watching their favourite TV show with their fandom mug and a hot chocolate!
Music’s in my soul
Just a bit of a Jonas Brothers throwback right there. Anyway, I’m pretty sure that everyone likes to listen to some sort of music and if you know what artists they like a CD is always a great option. I personally have Adele’s newest album 25 on my Christmas Wishlist! Other new CD’s that are quite popular at the moment and in the $25 budget are: Selena Gomez Revival, Demi Lovato Confident, Pentatonix That’s Christmas To Me,and one of my particular favourites at the moment, which is Troye Sivan’s debut album Blue Neigbourhood.
Just for Fun!
I wanted to add these next few items in purely because I think they are quite fun looking and are just a bit different to your typical gift. If you do a lot of your Christmas celebrations in the evening this Night Boomerang is a great source of entertainment, plus it glows in the dark! Inside Out had to be one of my top 3 movies that I watched this year and I think it’s a great movie for kids and adults to watch. The new Star Wars movie came out in theaters yesterday which is why it has featured heavily in this gift guide as I am super excited to see it. One related option to this for a Star Wars lover is to buy them movie tickets, but I like the idea of this Storm Trooper nerf gun too! Adult colouring books have also been super popular this year, with Johanna Basford being one of the most prominent author/artists. I love the look of her colouring book Lost Oceans and it would be a great way for someone to relax and unwind.
What would you like to buy or have gifted to you from this list?
