A great tan for those who like it dark
I have never tried a spray tan from a can before using the J Bronze Dark Tanning Spray as I have always been too scared of the becoming orange moments and streakiness that is forewarned by other “unexperienced” tanners. However I have not experienced any of this using the J Bronze spray tan.
The spray is very light and comes out with a bit of a colour guide to help you see where you have been spraying. This makes it really quite easy to apply, although I do suggest a lot of old towels to cover all surfaces around you. You will also want to wash the bathroom floor after applying, even if you have been standing on a towel. You do get a bit of build-up of the tanning liquid around the spray nozzle as it isn’t designed for being turned to other angles than vertically. I applied it spraying from top to bottom (as when going the other direction I would turn it, hence build-up).
The spray has a nice sort of caramel-coconut scent that will linger until you next shower. It isn’t too overpowering but it does help remind you that you have just tanned (no white clothes or sheets!) The tan lasted for about 5 days before I applied it again which made it even darker, but I must say it still didn’t look orange!
One 150ml can will probably do you for 2-3 full body tans (if you have someone to help do the back half of your body). I myself have tanned twice with the one bottle and have just under a 1/3 of it left! So that almost averages out to $13 per tan which is a lot cheaper than any salon tans.
The caramel colour of the can contrasted with the black writing makes this a really chic looking product which I love to have sitting on my dresser. I can definitely agree with its claim of a deep, even and streak-free tan (even though my hands ended up really dark after tanning. Rather them be a bit too dark than as pale as the moon!) My skin definitely looked smooth and healthy and I got a lot of compliments on my tan.
I would recommend this to all women who already have naturally warmer skin as this could make you look a bit orange/be too dark if you are really fair skinned. And make sure you use a tanning moisturiser on your face (or be prepared to wear you darker shade of makeup!)
Tips: Definitely exfoliate and shave before use and take care to moisturise, especially your wrists, hands, knees, ankles and feet!
You can buy J Bronze from:
- JBronze website
JBronze have a whole range on tanning products, which includes lighter skin tones too for those who aren’t wanting to plunge into looking quite a few shades darker than their current tan. The Dark tanning spray I used retails at $38.90 and gets 4 stars from me!
P.S In the featured picture you can see a little heart on my upper leg. That was the colour of my skin before using this tan spray!
