When things go wrong… what do you do?
I wasn’t really intending to write a post today as I have one lined up for tomorrow, but I just had to write this. As you can probably tell from the posts’ title I have had a bit of an interesting day today. I won a Schwarzkopf light blonde hair dyeing kit from a competition running on the lovely Lips ‘n’ Berries blog last week (The one of the left pictured below).
Well you can probably tell were this is going if you are an experience at home hair-dyer. Being rather experienced in the at home hair-dyeing myself I thought this would be an easy change. Ignoring all advice I have read to others before me I went on the short lived journey to becoming a blonde (again). (Note: the attractive plastic bag over my head)
Well let’s just say that it didn’t go to plan. I haven’t had any recent hair disaster so it was almost a bit of a shock to the system. However, it doesn’t look horribly bad, just quite funny. It kind of worked. I mean I’m light blonde at the top and bottom, but I would have preferred to be blonde all over instead of ginger in the middle.
Oh well, these things do happen when you are doing stuff like this at home. Luckily for me I have a great hairdresser who has a spot open for me to get my hair fixed tomorrow morning on my birthday. So for now I leave you with this:
“I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.” Martha Washington
So I went to the hairdressers today and man is my stylist amazing!! She still managed to keep in my ombre too!
