I love a good DIY, don’t you?
Pinterest is full of so many great ideas by other people, especially when it comes to Christmas. As I have mentioned we are moving house a couple of days before Christmas. Unfortunately, this means I haven’t been able to set up any Christmas decorations. Instead, I have been scouring Pinterest for quick and easy ways to decorate our new house once we are moved in. So I thought I would share a few of my favourite ideas with you guys!
Frame Wire Tree
One of my Facebook friends actually gave me the idea for this frame wire tree as an alternative to a fake or real fir-tree. She actually made these ones on the right and I reckon they look pretty awesome. You can hang your ornaments on them, or Christmas cards or even just a simple line of fairy lights! Simple, easy and effective!
DIY Nativity Board
Normally I get the job of putting our nativity scene on the windows and setting up the other little ones we own. Obviously, I won’t be able to put our window nativity up until Christmas Eve as I will have work. So, this DIY Nativity Board is a great idea for something that will have the same effect and last for years. I found this on Sugar Bee Crafts Pinterest.
Candles and Pinecones
Pinecones and candles both instantly make me feel Christmassy. Putting out the pine cone candle centrepiece I made last year are Pinterest inspired (thanks to my own Pinterest) and will bring some Christmas feeling to our new home. Even better make a Christmas scented candle like these gingerbread ones.
I always loved making these as a kid as they are easy to make and look awesome. A couple of years ago I made a whole lot of paper snowflakes for Christmas as weren’t sure where our Christmas decorations were. These are perfect whether you will be having a white Christmas or not as you’ll feel like you are having a white Christmas. Some designs are little bit harder than others.
I’ll also be looking at some past craft ideas that I posted last year for Blogmas.
What do you do to make your home feel Christmasy?
