“What do you want for Christmas?” This is a question I feel like all of us are being asked by all of our friends and family at this time of year. A lot of the time I haven’t got a clue, or I did have a list at one point but never wrote it down. So this is me writing it down, and it’s not a lot really.
To be honest I don’t want or need a lot of things this Christmas. As I am moving to Hamilton next year and can’t take a lot of things with me so it makes sense that the things that I want are small. Something that I have been waiting impatiently for its release for years is Adele’s newest album “25”. I have a sneaking suspicion that this may already be under my tree but nonetheless, I have saved listening to the full album until I have the CD. Quite seriously, I have only listened to 3 of the songs!! #thestruggleisreal ($19.99 at The Warehouse)
Alongside the Adele CD, something that would be super useful to me is this portable bluetooth speaker by Moshi, from the Warehouse. I’ve already
told requested that my brothers band together to buy me this so my music no longer has to compete with their sound systems! Then I will be able to listen to Adele to my hearts content, and it is small enough to take with me to Hamilton! ($35 at The Warehouse)
My current iPhone case is an awesome geeky fandom case that I found on some cheap website. However it is staring to wear badly so I am looking for something with a bit more class and durability. This gorgeous custom wood iPhone 5s case can be found on etsy and I can’t make up my mind between this 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 case or the one with a gorgeous carving of a sea turtle. (Yes I am a bit obsessed with turtles!) ($35.66 on etsy shop LetsEngraveIt)
When in doubt you can’t really go wrong with gift vouchers. As these are super easy some people will write them off as Christmas gifts for not being thoughtful enough. However if you are a friend or family member buying for me at Christmas, it is a super smart idea as it means I can have the freedom to buy a few things once I have moved to Hamilton! Great places to buy gift vouchers from are the Warehouse Stationary, Kmart, the Warehouse, and Lush. The Warehouse Stationary is also perfect if you are buying for a student as they have everything a student could possibly need stationary wise. Plus the great thing is there is a gift card for every budget.
This wishlist item isn’t just something for me and that is the beauty of a Smile gift from World Vision. If you don’t know what the Smiles are you can find out more on the World Vision Website, but as a quick over view you can buy things like books or animals for children, families and communities in 3rd world countries. These can be presented with a gift card to the recipient as a donation having been made in their name. My favourite picks from the lower spectrum are setting up book clubs and providing families with an animal. One day, a sa gift giver myself, I would like to make a donation to create a school in the name of my parents who are both teachers. (Ranges from $10 to $1,425).
So there you have it. Not too much to ask for i’d say, especially when I asked for a kitten and all the things it needed for 4 years in a row when I was younger!
What’s on your Christmas Wishlist this year?
