Hey there! So I realised that it has been a little while since I have done an update of my 101 things in 1001 days challenge. Since my last update in January I have completed 9 more of my challenges which brings the total to 16 completed.
#28 Successfully relaunch this blog with a new name
You will have seen a couple of posts about this by now, but if you haven’t, on the 26tg of April Child of Ponderings changed to The Spanish Bluebell. You can read all about the redesign process and the meaning behind the symbols in my header and logo right here on the blog.
#33 Buy something off of Etsy
I bought the watercolour prints in this post off Kate Ranfurly Design’s Etsy. (Yes they are the ones above.) I commissioned Kate to do these watercolours of me and my best friend for her 20th birthday.
#34 Give someone a makeup lesson
A couple of months ago I gave my friend Amy a makeup lesson on the basics of makeup application. Las week I also had the pleasure of teaching her to use her new straightener to straighten and curl hair. Hence the hair modelling above.
#42 Got to a concert
In May I was lucky enough to go see Ed Sheeran with my cousin Rachel. It was my very first concert and I am so glad that I got to experience Ed was my first. I also got to see The Script with my awesome friend Diana up at the Vector Arena in Auckland.
#47 Watch a musical live
Last week, rather spontaneously, I went to watch Beauty and the Beast put on by North Canterbury Musical Society in Rangiora. I went with my friend Leonie and we had such a blast. The music was great and the main cast were all amazing and has great voices. It was really interesting to see the Beauty and the Beast in live musical form as I have only ever watched the Disney movie version. (P.S If you are ever out Rangiora way you should definitely try to catch a movie at the Rangiora Town Hall Cinema as it has been redesigned to look like it did in its hay-day.)
#49 Have a Giapo Ice Cream
Giapo Ice Cream had been continuously on my radar because of the awesome Wendy Lester also know on Twitter and Instagram as Wendy Wings. Giapo have the most delicious ice creams and sorbets and are best known for their amazing toppings. I chose the New Zealand Garden sorbet which has garden mint, feijoa, Tamaki Beetroot and Keri Keri Passionfruit.
#58 Get a tattoo
Okay so I didn’t really get a proper tattoo, but I am thinking that I may not be getting one any time soon in the next 1001 days. I did however get the cutest fake tattoo while I was at Easter Camp. Both me and one of my besties Hannah got matching tattoos.
#59 Have a Photoshoot
I had the awesome opportunity to work with my friend Yana and do a photoshoot earlier this year. I had a way better time than I thought was possible and I even wrote about it in a post called “Why I think Everyone should do a Photoshoot“. I am really pleased with the end photos and am so glad to have them as keepsakes.
#85 Get a promotion
As of the 25th of March I was made a Senior Wait Host at my job! That is until I got my full-time contract, but still I guess it kinda counts?
If you have joined in with me on the 101 things in 1001 days challenge I would love to hear how you are going!
